Are you passionate about helping young people access meaningful careers and industry placements? We're seeking a Senior Careers and Industry Placement Lead to head up a dynamic team delivering an outstanding careers and placements offer across a vibrant Further Education setting.

The Role

You will lead a team responsible for providing high-quality careers guidance and coordinating industry placements for students across a range of programmes, including T Levels and vocational study routes.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and managing the careers and placement team across campuses

  • Overseeing the delivery of activities aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks

  • Building strong employer networks and securing placement opportunities

  • Ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of industry placements

  • Keeping up to date with national careers guidance, IAG policy, and local skills priorities

  • Promoting careers and placements internally and externally

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in leading careers guidance or employability services within an educational or training environment

  • Strong knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks, T Levels, and industry placement frameworks

  • Proven ability to build relationships with employers and stakeholders

  • Excellent digital skills, including experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

  • A qualification in Careers/IAG (or willingness to obtain)

  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development

? You Will Also Need:

  • Maths & English at Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent)

  • The ability to manage a team and deliver results under pressure

  • An adaptable, student-focused, and proactive approach

About the Role
