I'm currently working with a forward-thinking Further Education provider in Colchester, who are seeking passionate and knowledgeable electricians to join their team as an Electrical Installation Tutor. Whether or not you’ve taught before, full training is available—including support to gain your teaching qualification.
? Electrical Tutor – Colchester
- Hours: 37 per week (full-time)
- Salary: £38,535 – £46,212 per annum

- Teach and assess electrical installation apprentices and learners (Levels 1–3)
- Use your real-world experience to shape course delivery and inspire young minds
- Support learners through their portfolio, qualifications, and career development
- Get involved in exciting enrichment activities like industry talks, live projects, and site visits
- Collaborate with employers and be a key voice in local trade skills development
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (NVQ + AM2 or equivalent)
- Hands-on industry experience (domestic, commercial, or industrial)
- Assessor Award (TAQA) or willingness to gain it
- A passion for mentoring and sharing your trade knowledge
