About the Role: 
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join our Supported Learning Department. In this vital role, you will work closely with students with a wide range of disabilities and learning difficulties, providing tailored support to help them access their curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals. Your support will help promote independence and inclusion, ensuring every student can succeed in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Support students with learning difficulties and disabilities within and outside the classroom, including reading materials, note-taking, and using enabling technologies
	<li>Adapt learning resources (e.g., enlarging text, modifying language) to ensure accessibility
	<li>Promote independence and champion inclusion for all students
	<li>Support students with health and personal care needs to access learning effectively
	<li>Assist with delivery of therapy interventions such as Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy, following professional guidance
	<li>Maintain accurate records of student support, attendance, and progression
	<li>Attend team meetings and contribute to continuous support improvements
	<li>Support students during breaks, lunch, trips, and off-campus study programmes
	<li>Work collaboratively with staff, external professionals, and families to review and develop support plans
	<li>Undertake relevant training and professional development opportunities

About You:

<ul>
	<li>Experience supporting students with SEND, including those with Autism, Visual or Hearing impairments, and physical or learning disabilities
	<li>Knowledge of health and personal care requirements and therapy support techniques
	<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
	<li>Ability to adapt resources and environments to meet diverse needs
	<li>Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health & Social Care, or equivalent)
	<li>Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
	<li>Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
